Young Indian cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi has taken the cricketing world by storm with a blistering century against the England Under-19 team, setting a new record for the fastest hundred in youth ODI history.
Playing in the fourth match of the five-match series at the New Road ground in Worcester, Suryavanshi hammered a scintillating 100 off just 52 balls. His explosive innings featured 10 boundaries and 7 sixes, leaving spectators in awe and the opposition struggling for answers.

This remarkable knock has now placed Suryavanshi in the record books as the fastest century-scorer in youth ODI cricket, surpassing previous benchmarks. Interestingly, the young batter was unaware of his achievement until he returned to the pavilion.
“I didn’t know it was a record,” Suryavanshi said after the match. “Our manager Ankit Sir told me. He also said I should aim for a double century next time and that I have the potential to bat through the full 50 overs.”
The 19-year-old's fearless approach and sheer dominance with the bat have marked him as one of the most promising talents in India’s youth cricket setup. With this stunning performance, Suryavanshi’s sights are now set on reaching the coveted 200-run milestone — a feat rarely seen at this level.
India currently leads the five-match series 3–1, with one game remaining.
