    Cops urged Big Boss officials to hand over the accused

Varthur Santosh, a contestant of Kannada Big Boss, was arrested by the forest officials for being in possession of tiger claws. 

The police arrested him after reaching the sets. After examining and ascertaining the claws, the officials asked the cops to hand over the accused. 

An FIR has been registered in this regard. 

A complaint in this regard was filed by a person named Sharath. Speaking exclusively to NewsFirst Prime, he said tigers are an endangered species and possessing their claws is illegal. Sharath also informed that he had received several forwards updating him about the tiger claws which Santosh is in possession of. It is based on these forwards that he filed a complaint. 

‘Create no demand’

Vallish, a wildlife enthusiast, spoke exclusively with NewsFirst Prime and urged celebrities not to create a demand for items like tiger claws.

He said, “As long as purchasers are there, sellers are also there. When we wear such claws, there is a lot of demand created. We should be very careful not to create such desires. It’s not good for society.”

A note on Varthur Santosh 

It might be recalled that Varthur Santosh shot to prominence as he started rearing the Hallikar breed of cattle. He is popularly called Hallikar Odeya and is the chairman of Hallikar Cattle Breed or All India Hallikar Breed Conservation Committee.
