In the video, the local requests a ticket priced at Rs 20 but encounters an issue when the ticket issuer uses the word "bees," which is commonly used to refer to 20 in Hindi. The local immediately questions the issuer, asking for the Kannada translation of the word. Allegedly, despite knowing Kannada, the officer initially refuses to respond in the language.

Frustrated by the officer’s reluctance, the local insists on speaking in Kannada, and after some back-and-forth, the officer eventually concedes and begins communicating in the local language. The video captures the local's firm stance on promoting Kannada usage, highlighting the growing sentiment around language rights in the state.

The video, now widely shared on social media, has sparked strong reactions. Supporters of Kannada language advocacy have applauded the local’s insistence, while others have criticized the officer's initial refusal to use the language. The incident reflects ongoing tensions regarding language preference in Karnataka.
