The wife and brother of the Sandalwood actor Darshan also referred to as the Challenging Star, Vijayalakshmi and Dinakar arrived at the residence of the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka DK Shivakumar to meet him. Reports indicate that the two of them are currently waiting for the meeting to commence. 

DK Shivakumar had earlier stated that Vijayalakshmi had sought permission to meet him. Vijayalakshmi and Dinakar arrived at Ramanagara during the early hours of 24th July for this purpose.

DK Shivakumar was present for the Chamundeshwari Karaga Mahotsava which was held on July 23rd. “I have arrived late due to the Vidhana Sabha session. You had made Iqbal victorious by providing your vote for the Congress in the previous election. May your love and trust in us remain intact. You have given us an opportunity to develop Ramanagara. D.K Suresh, Iqbal, Balakrishna and I would work towards your service,” he said.

Darshan fans are reported to have shouted ‘DBoss’ slogans during DK Shivakumar’s speech. DK Shivakumar revealed that he would meet Vijayalakshmi during the sloganeering. He affirmed that injustice would not be allowed to happen. He however added a caveat that the legal apparatus of the country would have to be respected.
