Virat Kohli, who paid a staggering ₹66 crore in taxes, leads the list, making him one of the country’s top tax-paying celebrities, trailing behind Bollywood icons Salman Khan (Rs 75 crores) and Amitabh Bachchan (Rs 71 crores).

Kohli, currently on a break following India’s ODI series against Sri Lanka, is known not only for his performance on the field but also for his extensive earnings off it. MS Dhoni, despite retiring from international cricket in 2020 and focusing solely on his IPL career with Chennai Super Kings, paid ₹38 crore in taxes, placing him seventh on the list. Dhoni continues to be one of the most influential figures in Indian sports, even after stepping back from the international stage.

Other notable celebrities in the tax list include Shah Rukh Khan with ₹92 crore, Thalapathy Vijay with ₹80 crore, and Salman Khan at ₹75 crore. Kohli’s growing financial success has led to his net worth surpassing ₹1,000 crore in 2024.
