SIT is preparing to serve notice to S.R Ramesh

Arrangements for a press conference were made

Ramesh was named by others arrested in the case

Reports suggest that the former legislator Saligrama Ramegowda Ramesh of the Janata Dal (Secular) (JD(S)) might be in trouble in the kidnapping case filed against the former Public Works Department (PWD) Minister of Karnataka H.D Revanna. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) is apparently preparing to serve a notice to Ramesh. His name supposedly features in the remand application furnished by the SIT. He is believed to have been named by the others arrested in the case. He is facing allegations of having coerced the victim into giving a public statement that she was indeed not kidnapped.

The suspects are said to have informed the SIT about this. Arrangements for a press conference are believed to have been made to facilitate this process. The ploy however did not materialise as H.D Revanna faced an interrogation on the same day the event was planned. One of the suspects, Kirthi is reported to have revealed this information. The victim was supposedly forced to make a video since the press conference could not take place.
