The soldiers, accompanied by their canine units, were part of the 122 Infantry Battalion of the Territorial Army, which played a crucial role in the search and rescue efforts amid the disaster. As the personnel prepared to leave their temporary accommodation, they were met with a massive round of applause from the local community, a moment captured in a video shared by the Kochi Defence Public Relations Officer (PRO).
