Amidst documented evidence that one of the individuals involved in the atack on the parliament had a guest pass signed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP) from Mysuru Prathap Simha, his silence on this issue has added more intrigue onto the affair.
After the incident when all of the opposition demanded an explanation and some his resignation, Prathap Simha took to Twitter to post a picture with political science students of the Vidyavardhaka College which was taken two days earlier. The following day he made a post remembering B.K.S Iyengar on his birth anniversary.

He did not directly address the issue on social media or with any media organisation. However reports have emerged that Prathap Simha met with speaker Om Birla after the incident had transpired. It is being speculated that Prathap told the speaker that Sagar Sharma’s (one of the accused who obtained the guest pass from Prathaps’s reference) father Shankar Lal Sharma resides in Mysuru. He apparently stated that he had made multiple requests to visit the new parliament building. He is said to have been unaware of what happened apart from that. Prathap also met with the Home Minister.
This still leaves the question of how the cans were brought into the house unanswered.
