The crux of the allegations is that Parvathi Siddaramaiah, the Chief Minister’s wife, benefitted from this land swap, with critics claiming it involved usurped land originally belonging to the Dalit community. Opposition parties estimate the financial value of the alleged scam at ₹3,000 crore. Complaints have been filed by Snehamayi Krishna, who accuses MUDA of creating forged documents and illicitly obtaining plots valued in the crores.

The complaint extends to Siddaramaiah’s brother-in-law, Mallikarjuna Swamy Devaraj, alleging further misconduct. Siddaramaiah and his family are at the center of these allegations, with critics accusing them of corruption and illegal land dealings.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has firmly denied all accusations, asserting that the transactions were conducted legally. He has also claimed that the Development Authority unlawfully developed a layout on a four-acre plot owned by his wife in Kesarur, Mysuru, without proper acquisition processes.
