As the mini-auction ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is scheduled to be held starting from 2:30 PM on 19th December, the cumulative purse of the 10 teams stand up to be Rs 262.95 crore.
Having sold Indian allrounder Hardik Pandya for Rs 15 crore, Gujarat Titans have the highest purchasing power walking into the auction. They can spend up to Rs 38.15 crore for eight spots. Sunrisers Hyderabad stand second in this list with a purse of Rs 34 crore to fill six spots in their squad. Kolkata Knight Riders can spend up to Rs 32.7 crore for filing 12 spots. Chennai Super Kings have a purse of Rs 31.4 crore to fill 6 spots in their team.
Punjab Kings have 6 slots to fill and Rs 29.1 crore to spend for the same. Delhi Capitals have a limit of Rs 28.9 crore for their spending and have 9 slots to fill. The Royal Challengers Bangalore who are looking to overhaul their bowling attack have Rs 23.2 crore in their purse to fill up 6 slots.
Mumbai Indians have only Rs 17.2 crore in their purse to fill 8 spots after having procured Hardik Pandya for Rs 15 crore. Rajasthan Royals can spend up to Rs 14.5 crore to fill up 8 slots. Lucknow SuperGiants have the lowest purchasing power. They can spend up to Rs 13.1 crore to fill up 6 slots. 332 players will go under the banner during the auction.
