What’s common between Kohli and Sachin? It’s sleepless nights!

India is a country that loves cricket and related records. While the whole nation waited with bated breath as Virat Kohli equalled Sachin’s ODI hundreds equallying 49, Sachin himself had to wait for some time to break another great Sunil Gavaskar’s test tally of 34 hundreds. 

As these greats like Sachin and Kohli reach their milestones, they tend to get sleepless nights. This is a pattern among such greats, pointed out former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri. 

During a mid-innings break on Star Sports, he said, "It's amazing. We are a country obsessed with records. We are obsessed with hundreds. And Sunny was the trendsetter. I remember when Sachin Tendulkar was chasing his 34th, it wasn't easy. He had many sleepless nights, he would get out in the 70s and 80s. And it took a while, just like it has taken for Virat Kohli.” 

Virat’s 50th ton in KSCA? 

Bengaluru is spending sleepless nights as it expects Virat Kohli to score his 50th ton when India face Netherlands at the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru. The match is slated to take place on November 12th. 

Kohli and Bengaluru share a good bonding as he plays for RCB and KSCA is the home ground for them.
