When Justin Bieber visited Mumbai last time and ditched Bollywood party

Six years ago, global pop sensation Justin Bieber made his first visit to Mumbai, delivering a sold-out 'Purpose' tour concert that left Indian Beliebers in awe. Initially, his itinerary was packed with plans including an extravagant Bollywood party hosted by actress Jacqueline Fernandez, a helicopter entry, and a visit to the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra.

Reports from 2017 suggested that Bieber would be treated to a royal feast and rub shoulders with Bollywood’s elite at Fernandez's grand party. His schedule also included exploring Mumbai’s vibrant cityscape and making a dramatic helicopter arrival for his concert.

However, the pop icon surprised everyone by ditching these plans. Instead, he spent a brief 24 hours in the city, leaving soon after his electrifying performance, and shocked fans by leaving shirtless. While his sudden departure disappointed many, Bieber did manage to touch hearts by meeting and playing football with underprivileged kids in Mumbai.

Post-Mumbai, Bieber continued his tour in South Africa. Now, he is focusing on his personal life, particularly supporting his pregnant wife, Hailey Bieber. The singer has also been recovering from Ramsay Hunt syndrome, an illness that partially paralyzed his face and forced him to postpone his global tour.

Despite the abrupt end to his Mumbai visit, Bieber promised his fans that he would return to India soon, leaving his admirers eagerly awaiting his next visit.
