Recalling a shared flight to London, Bachchan described how Tata found himself in a relatable predicament: unable to locate his aides and in urgent need to make a phone call. Approaching a public phone booth, Tata turned to Bachchan for a favor, asking, “Amitabh, can I borrow some money from you? I don’t have money to make a phone call!”

Bachchan was one of the first to express condolences after Tata's passing, calling it “the end of an era.” In a social media post, he praised Tata as “a respected, humble visionary with immense foresight,” and shared personal memories of their work together on humanitarian projects.

Bachchan also posted a photo with Tata, honoring his legacy of humility and dedication to national causes, marking the profound loss felt across India.
