Over a month has passed since astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Willmore docked with the Space Station aboard the Starliner spacecraft, and their return is still pending confirmation. NASA and Boeing are diligently working on tests to ensure their safe return.

Since the Starliner’s Crew Flight Test (CFT) launched on June 5, Boeing and NASA have been conducting extensive testing to guarantee a safe journey back for Williams and her crew.

It might be added that Boeing and NASA have performed approximately 100,000 computer model simulations to address every possible variable and condition the Starliner spacecraft might face during undocking, the deorbit burn, and landing. These extensive simulations aim to ensure the safety and success of the mission as they prepare for the astronauts' return from the Space Station.
