KL Rahul broke the record for the fastest century by an Indian in a world cup match during India’s encounter with Netherlands at the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru. His 62-ball 102 propelled India’s score to beyond 400 for the second time in the history of world cups.
KL Rahul seems to be comfortable with the number 5 position at the moment and his form is always working in his favour. However his mother is still unhappy with him for a reason. In an old video that has gone viral again, KL Rahul talks about his unique predicament.
KL Rahul was pursuing a B.Com Degree in Jain University. “My mother is still upset that I do not have got a degree in my hand. She prompted me to clear my 30 pending papers during the lockdown. I asked her what she wanted me to do. I am playing cricket. I am doing well in life. I asked her if this is required? She asked me what’s the harm in doing so,” he stated in the video.
He further talked about the importance of government jobs for her. “She wasn’t impressed with my IPL captaincy or captaincy of the Indian team. She was impressed when I got an RBI job. I was already playing cricket for 4 years by then,” he said. Some things never change when you are dealing with Indian parents.
