  • India’s May 10 airstrikes crippled 11 key Pakistani military sites
  • Strike near Pakistan’s nuclear command hub forced Islamabad to seek immediate ceasefire
  • Retaliation followed Pakistan’s deadly drone-missile assault that killed 16 civilians across Indian states

In a dramatic escalation of hostilities, India’s precision air strikes on May 10 crippled Pakistan’s military infrastructure, pushing Islamabad to urgently seek a ceasefire within hours. The Indian Air Force (IAF) targeted 11 military installations deep inside Pakistani territory, delivering a punishing blow to its air power and forcing a panicked diplomatic scramble.

The Indian strikes came in retaliation to a coordinated Pakistani missile and drone attack on 15 Indian military sites across Jammu and Kashmir to Gujarat, which killed 16 civilians and damaged religious structures. India’s response, swift and decisive, shifted the balance dramatically in New Delhi’s favour.

Among the key targets were air bases in Rafiqui, Murid, Nur Khan, Rahim Yar Khan, and Sialkot. Satellite images confirmed widespread destruction—obliterated hangars, cratered runways, and shattered radar installations. The most strategically significant hit was on the Nur Khan air base near Rawalpindi, which sits close to Pakistan’s Strategic Plans Division, the agency responsible for managing the nuclear arsenal.

As Indian missiles struck dangerously near sensitive nuclear zones, international alarm surged. The United States reportedly intervened diplomatically, urging restraint as Pakistan, visibly shaken, pleaded for an end to military action.

India’s dominance in the conflict underscored its precision-strike capability and intelligence superiority, marking a pivotal shift in regional power dynamics.
