"Sometimes life takes us in different directions. After a lot of thought, Kashyap and I have decided to part ways. I am grateful for our memories and thank you for respecting our privacy," Saina wrote. Kashyap has not issued any public statement so far.

The couple’s love story began in Hyderabad, where they trained together at Pullela Gopichand's academy. They reportedly started dating around 2004 and tied the knot in 2018 after over a decade of companionship.

Saina rose to prominence after reaching the quarter-finals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and later became the first Indian badminton player to win an Olympic medal (bronze) at the 2012 London Olympics. In 2015, she became the world No. 1.

The duo’s separation marks the end of a celebrated partnership on and off the court.
