A Bengaluru woman has filed a disturbing complaint against a man who allegedly raped her multiple times over several years, subjected her to physical and emotional abuse, and even encouraged her to end her life. The woman, who met the accused, Lakki Reddy, in 2019 when he approached her for a credit card sale, claims their relationship quickly turned abusive.

According to the complaint, after inviting her to his elder sister's birthday, Reddy spiked her tea, raped her, and filmed the assault. Upon regaining consciousness, the victim was shown explicit images of herself. From 2019 to 2024, Reddy continued to rape her, making repeated promises of marriage that he never kept. He allegedly also used casteist slurs against her and threatened her life.
In a particularly disturbing act, Reddy allegedly gave the woman pills in an attempt to make her die by suicide. He also threatened to bomb her house, boasting about his connections to Rayalseema.
Fortunately, the victim's friends intervened, stopping her from taking her own life. The woman has now lodged a complaint at the High Grounds Police Station in Bengaluru. The accused is currently absconding, with his phone switched off. Authorities are investigating the case.
