With Darshan getting VIP treatment in jail, are some people more equal than others?

At a time when Darshan, the accused actor in the Renukaswamy murder case, had to exhibit remorsefulness and repentance for the alleged crime he did, he is seen enjoying his stay at the Parappana Agrahara prison, where he is seen joyfully sipping a cup of tea and smoking away to glory. What makes matters worse is how is seen with a rowdy-sheeter Wilson Naga, who is an accused in another case. 

Many former prison officers who NewsFirst Prime spoke to are indignant at the development. They are of the opinion that it was incumbent upon Darshan to be more careful and responsible as his behaviour will send a strong message to the general public outside. 

The Renukaswamy murder case 

It was in June that Renukaswamy was kidnapped and murdered, allegedly by Darshan and his cohort. The victim had allegedly sent lewd messages to Pavitra Gowda, who in turn, had complained to Darshan. As retaliation, he had allegedly orchestrated the entire episode, with a view to exacting revenge. 

Darshan arrested from Mysuru 

The actor was arrested from a gym in Mysuru. It was here that he had rushed after Renukaswamy had passed away. Presently, all the 17 accused in the case have been remanded in judicial custody.
