The 14-day judicial custody of Sandalwood actor Darshan also referred to as the Challenging Star will come to an end on July 4th. They will be produced before a court through the means of a video conference. Arrangements to facilitate this process are being made.
Darshan was in Police Custody 3 times over the suspicion of involvement in the murder of Renukaswamy hailing from Chitradurga. He was arrested on June 11 th by the police from Mysuru. On June 22nd, a 14-day judicial custody of the suspects in the case was granted to the police.

Darshan will be produced in front of the 24th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court. Darshan’s lawyers haven’t submitted an application seeking bail in the case thus far. Reports indicate that they are waiting for the chargesheet to be submitted to the court. The police are bound to submit the charge sheet within 90 days.
Darshan and the 16 other suspects are likely to remain behind bars until the charge sheet has been submitted. Bail in murder cases are generally not given until the charge sheet is filled. Furthermore, it is a rare occurrence for bail to be granted in murder cases in lower courts.
