The decision comes after mounting public and political backlash, with the opposition BJP intensifying its criticism, accusing the government of unfairly targeting farmers. The move has reportedly left the Chief Minister displeased, particularly over the negative perception it has created for his administration. Sources indicate he reprimanded certain officials in the relevant department, expressing frustration at the harm caused to the government’s reputation.

In his directives, the CM made it clear that officials should not harass or trouble farmers regarding the notices, a gesture aimed at reassuring the farming community. Additionally, the CM noted the potential threat to communal harmony in the state if such issues are not handled carefully, emphasizing the need for a balanced approach in sensitive matters involving land disputes.

The swift action reflects the government’s awareness of public sentiment and the need to safeguard communal unity, with the CM promising close monitoring of the issue moving forward.
