A woman was molested by a man on a two-wheeler late Wednesday night in the Ecoworld area of Marathahalli, Bengaluru. The incident occurred around 11:30 pm in the bustling IT park, where the woman was walking alone when she was struck from behind by a passing rider. Initially thinking it was accidental, she realized it was deliberate when the man returned and hit her again with greater force.

Despite being surrounded by people, the woman received no help. She shouted for assistance, approached auto drivers, and tried to get others to intervene, but no one responded. The attacker made a third attempt, taking a U-turn and approaching her once again.

The survivor later reached a security booth in the area and reported the incident. She approached the police the following day, and senior officers are now overseeing the investigation.

She stated that respect for personal boundaries remains a serious issue in society and urged others to raise their voices against such crimes. Emphasizing that she does not see herself or others in similar situations as victims, she called out the societal stigma attached to survivors.

While more alert following the incident, she said she is determined not to let fear define her response and is hopeful the perpetrator will be caught to prevent further harm.
