People of Davanagere, Karnataka, have repeatedly called up electricity officials in the town, urging them not to resort to power cuts during the India-Australia World Cup final.
It is reported that officials have received more than a hundred calls in this regard.
Respecting their demands, the officials have clarified that there would be no load-shedding during the event.

A mighty India will take on a highly-confident Australia in the World Cup final in Ahmedabad today (November 19). India have won all their 10 matches in the League stage and defeated New Zealand in the first semifinal. On the other hand, Australia defeated South Africa in the second semi final at Eden Gardens.
It might also be recalled that the two faced each other in the final of a World Cup, way back in 2023 in South Africa. At that point in time, Australia defeated India by a whopping 125 runs, propelled by a defiant century by the then captain, Ricky Ponting.
Now, as the two giants clash, India hope to avenge that defeat.
All roads will certainly lead to Ahmedabad for the summit clash. The match begins at 2 pm.
