Yash Raj Films (YRF) is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its iconic film Veer-Zaara by re-releasing the romantic drama internationally on 600 screens.
The film will be available in cinemas starting today November 7, with special premieres in Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar, marking the first-ever screenings in these countries. Originally released on November 12, 2004, Veer-Zaara was directed by the legendary Yash Chopra and written by his son, Aditya Chopra.

Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Preity Zinta, the film tells a heart-wrenching cross-border love story between an Indian Air Force officer, Veer Pratap Singh, and Zaara Hayaat Khan, the daughter of a Pakistani politician. The film became the highest-grossing Indian movie of the year, both domestically and globally.
Nelson D’Souza, Vice President of International Distribution at YRF, reportedly explained that the decision to re-release Veer-Zaara was driven by global fan demand. "Fans around the world have expressed a deep desire to revisit this iconic love story, and this re-release is our tribute to them," D’Souza said.
The film's melodious soundtrack, featuring timeless songs like "Tere Liye" and "Main Yahaan Hoon," continues to be remembered fondly.
The re-release will include a deleted song, "Yeh Hum Aa Gaye Hain Kahaan," adding a special touch for long-time fans. The movie will also be available in major international markets, including the USA, UAE, UK, Australia, and South Africa.
