Adding another feather to the Rocking Star family's cap, Pushpa Arun Kumar, mother of Kannada superstar Yash, has made her Sandalwood debut as a producer with the film Kothalavadi, under her newly launched banner, PA Productions. This move comes shortly after her son Yash ventured into production with Monster Creations and his involvement in the Bollywood epic Ramayana.

At the teaser launch of Kothalavadi, Pushpa spoke fondly of her daughter-in-law, actress Radhika Pandit, praising her sharp instinct in choosing stories. “Radhika is more skilled than Yash in picking scripts. I’ve admired her choices even before she became my daughter-in-law,” she said, drawing laughter from the audience. “I have a lot to learn from her.”

Pushpa also revealed that neither her son nor daughter knew about her production plans, describing it as a humble beginning aimed at promoting fresh talent.

Directed by debutant Sriraj, who trained under filmmakers KV Raju and Ravi Srivatsa, Kothalavadi stars rising Kannada actor Prithvi Amber and popular TV actress Kavya Shaiva. The project has also brought in fresh faces behind the scenes, including music composer Abhinandan Kashyap and stunt director Sagar.

With PA Productions, Pushpa Arun Kumar aims to provide a platform for new talent in the Kannada film industry—starting with Kothalavadi, a promising project that blends experience and emerging creativity.
