The weather department has issued weather alerts for all districts across the state as monsoon activity intensifies. Bengaluru, along with several other districts, has been placed under a yellow alert for today, indicating light to moderate rain and cloudy skies.

The coastal belt, including Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, and Uttara Kannada, has been issued an orange alert, warning of heavy rainfall and possible waterlogging in low-lying areas. Similarly, Kodagu, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, and Hassan are also under an orange alert due to expected intense rainfall.
In Bengaluru, the morning began with light drizzle in certain pockets and an overcast sky across the city. The weather department predicts more intermittent showers throughout the day. Commuters have been advised to plan their travel accordingly as rain may affect traffic movement during peak hours.
Authorities have urged residents in orange alert districts to stay cautious, especially in landslide-prone and flood-vulnerable areas. Disaster response teams are on standby in high-risk zones to address any emergencies.
