The Yellow Line, which connects RV Road to Bommasandra, has faced repeated delays despite being a crucial link between central Bengaluru and key IT and industrial corridors in the southern parts of the city. Originally expected to be operational years ago, the project has missed multiple deadlines, leaving commuters to battle intense traffic congestion, especially at choke points like the Silk Board junction.
Surya’s message reflected the growing frustration among citizens. “Our patience has worn thin. We feel we are taken for granted,” he wrote, calling on the public to join the protest and demand accountability from the metro authorities. The hashtag #YellowLineOpenMadi is being used to mobilize public support.
This line is particularly significant for easing travel to Electronic City and other business hubs, and the delay has had a direct impact on daily commute times and the city’s broader mobility issues. With traffic in the region worsening, pressure is mounting on BMRCL to provide clear answers and a firm timeline.
