The serene heights of the Himalayas reverberated with chants of harmony as the 11th International Yoga Day was celebrated in grand fashion at Astra Turp Stadium, Leh-Ladakh. The event witnessed the participation of prominent spiritual leaders, government dignitaries, and hundreds of yoga enthusiasts, united by the theme “One Earth, One Health.”

Spiritual Message from the Himalayas
At the heart of the celebrations was Shwaasa Guru Shri Vachanananda Swamiji of the Harihar Panchamasali Jagadguru Peetha and the Shwaasa Yoga Institute. Delivering a stirring address, Swamiji emphasized the role of yoga and breath awareness in promoting world peace and holistic health. “Breath connects all living beings. Through conscious breathing, we can cultivate inner peace that radiates globally,” he stated.
High-Profile Attendance and Support
The event was organized in collaboration with the Central AYUSH Department, Government of India, and the Union Territory of Ladakh. Distinguished attendees included Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, former Lieutenant Governor Dr. Kiran Bedi, Bhikku Sangh Senaji, and Sadguru Brahmeshananda Swamiji. Ministers and officials from the Ladakh administration, school children, and local residents also actively participated.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Himalayas, the event served as a symbolic reminder of yoga's spiritual origins and its power to unify diverse communities. Participants engaged in guided breathing exercises and yoga sessions, reinforcing the message that wellness and peace are achievable through ancient practices.
