  • Many people have liked the change in the uniform

In a move that will underline a change, Zomato has brought in a new uniform policy allowing its women delivery partners to opt for kurtas instead of the standard Zomato t-shirts.

The move comes in wake of feedback from female employees expressing discomfort with the western-style attire.

The decision, shared on LinkedIn through a video post, showcases Zomato delivery women trying on the new kurtas in what appears to be a celebratory photoshoot. The video captures expressions of gratitude and approval from the women towards the company's gesture.

Zomato stated, "Many female delivery partners expressed discomfort with the western-style Zomato t-shirts. So, we gave them a choice." The video received thousands of likes and positive reactions on social media, with users appreciating the company's "thoughtful" approach.

"I have started loving this brand more and more, not just because of their service, but because of their thoughts and culture," expressed one user. Another person thanked Zomato for "creating opportunities for people and saving thousands of lives." The move signifies Zomato's commitment to addressing employee concerns and fostering inclusivity within its workforce.
