Another shocking revelation has emerged in the gold smuggling case involving Sandalwood actress Ranya Rao, as authorities discovered an unexplained ₹10 lakh deposit in her zero-balance account. The amount was transferred from Omkar Co-operative Bank to her account in Canara Bank’s Trinity branch over just two days.

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), which is probing Ranya Rao’s illegal activities, has now shifted focus to her financial transactions. Officials suspect that the money could be linked to gold smuggling operations or other undisclosed dealings. The transactions occurred on April 27 and April 28, 2022, raising further questions about her financial activities.
Investigators believe that Ranya may have used her influence to acquire land and conduct high-value transactions without proper scrutiny. The sudden inflow of money into an account that previously had no balance has sparked suspicions of money laundering or unaccounted wealth.
The DRI team is now tracing the origin and purpose of the funds, along with examining whether any financial institutions or influential individuals were involved in these transactions. With each revelation, the case against Ranya Rao is becoming more complex, pointing towards a deeper web of financial irregularities and possible misuse of power.
