Argument between airport staff and passengers took place
With many parts of Eastern India including West Bengal being affected by the Remal cyclone, some Kannadigas have also been stuck as flight schedules have been affected in the process. They are also facing difficulty in procuring food and water.
Many Kannnadigas travelled to the Andaman Nicobar islands from regions such as Mysuru and Davangere. The Vistara flight however has been delayed owing to the cyclone. 180 people entered the airport at 11 AM on 27th May. There was however no signs of the flight taking off even until the evening.

A retired principal from Mysuru named Paramesh provided a detailed report of the predicament of those stuck in the islands. The tourists landed on the islands on 22nd May. The flight that had arrived from Chennai was unable to make a departure from the airport. This resulted in outrage among the passengers. A heated argument between the airport staff and the passengers followed as an outcome of the outrage. They have requested the Karnataka State Government and the Central Government for assistance. How the governments will act to ensure the safe return of the passengers remains to be seen.
