    Woman’s parents entered Vijayakumar’s camera store

A 20-year-old woman got married to a 40-year-old man despite opposition from her parents. The couple approached the doors of a police station due to alleged harassment from the woman’s parents after their marriage. 

The woman hails from Chikkaballapur. She fell in love with 40-year-old Vijayakumar. This occurred while she was pursuing a course in fashion designing from a prestigious college in Bengaluru. The acquaintance between the 2 of them turned to love very quickly. The woman’s parents were however not able to reconcile with the age gap between the 2 people. 

The 2 of them got married at a registrar office in Devanahalli on 15th July. The woman’s parents are believed to have entered Vijayakumar’s camera store on July 19th and caused a commotion. The woman identified as Hamsalekha and Vijayakumar later approached the police requesting for protection under their present circumstances.

The parents of the woman tried to convince the woman against her decision even at the Chikkaballapur Police Station. The woman was however firm about her decision to get married to Vijayakumar. She even offered to return the property due to her by virtue of inheritance. The couple were successful in saving their marriage under situations involving extraordinary pressure from external sources.
