After its successful debut in Japan seven months ago, the eagerly awaited new-generation Maruti Swift is set to make its entry into the Indian market. Bookings for the 2024 model have commenced, with the launch slated for the first half of May. Prospective buyers can reserve their unit by paying a deposit of Rs 11,000, either online or at Maruti Arena dealerships.

Design and Feature Updates

A sneak peek at the front-end design reveals a redesigned grille and more defined LED headlights. Inside, significant changes await, including an overhauled dashboard to accommodate the new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and revamped climate control console, alongside updated upholstery.

Safety and Powertrain

Expectations include six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and electronic stability control. Under the hood, the Indian Swift is likely to house a new 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine, omitting the mild-hybrid and all-wheel-drive options available elsewhere.
