    23 police officials in Karnataka honoured with President's Medals

    Of them, 21 officials were recognized with Medal for Meritorious Service

75th Republic Day 2024 witnessed the recognition of exemplary service as 23 police officials in Karnataka were honoured with the President’s Medals.

Among them, Soumendu Mukherjee, Additional Director General of Police, Administration, stood out, receiving both the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service and the Medal for Meritorious Service from the President of India.

The distinguished service accolades were also bestowed upon Sudhir M. Hegde, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the State Human Rights Commission. Additionally, 21 other officials were recognized with the Medal for Meritorious Service.

Notable awardees include Raman Gupta, Additional Commissioner of Police in East Bengaluru City, Anilkumar S. Bhoomraddi, Additional SP in Shivamogga, Nagaraja A., Superintendent of Police and Commandant 1st Bn. Karnataka State Industrial Security Force in Bengaluru, and SP Dharaneesha, Additional Superintendent of Police in Yadgir.

The list continues with commendable individuals such as Narayana Swamy V., ACP of Jayanagar sub-division in Bengaluru, V. Raghu Kumar, Assistant Director at the State Intelligence Bureau in Bengaluru, and B.S. Srinivasa Raj, Deputy SP in CID Bengaluru, among others, who received recognition for their meritorious service.

Furthermore, officers on central deputation from the Karnataka Cadre were also acknowledged. Pankaj Kumar Thakur, Joint Director at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Pravin Madhukar Pawar, Joint Director at CBI, New Delhi, and Kaushlendra Kumar, Deputy Director at the Ministry of Home Affairs, were honoured with the Medal for Meritorious Service.
