Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout starring Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee will stream on Zee5 starting from April 16th. The film’ crew gathered for a trailer launch. Film director Barucha Deohans talked about how having Manoj helped in the filmmaking process. “There was so much camaraderie. That made my job easier for the second instalment. It was a more difficult film because it had more layers and complex characters,” she remarked.
Manoj also talked about playing the same character for the second time. “Whenever you do the second instalment you have to revisit the old season as you grow as a person and actor. But there are some basic elements that you have done..you should not leave that as it is the crux of the character. Try to remind myself what I have done and what I should do now,” he said.

Manoj also reflected on the connection between films and social reality. “Cinema can be a mirror of our time. Cinema can’t start movements. It can be part of the movement. Cinema can’t do anything alone. Every ruler has used cinema or art in their own way. Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Angry Young Man’ persona emerged at a time when the country’s youth was struggling with unemployment and hopelessness. They saw themselves in Amitabh Bachchan and watching those films helped them vent out … Similarly, when the time of romanticism came, there were Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan,” Manoj mentioned.
