After 7 phases of Lok Sabha polls, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge held a meeting with alliance partners. They had met to chart out ways to form a government if the INDI Alliance goes past the 273 mark. After meeting leaders like Akhilesh Yadav, Kharge exuded confidence in getting almost 300 seats.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi, who was in Kanyakumari for a 45-hour meditation, ended it and flew back to Delhi.
Even as we file this copy, exit polls are being held. The numbers start trickling in by 6 pm. As per different surveys, the BJP is set to win the elections by at least a simple majority. However, let’s also remember that exit polls are not a simple piece of cake and are not infallible as it was proved in the year 2004 when Vajpayee did not enjoy a second term.
