Sandalwood actor Darshan also referred to as the Challenging Star has been taken to police custody for the third time over suspicion of involvement in the murder of Renukaswamy. The investors into his upcoming film are reported to have shed tears. 

There are speculations that legislators and ministers have also invested in the project titled ‘Devil.’ The arrest of Darshan brought the shooting of Devil to a halt. Darshan was arrested from Mysuru wherein the shooting of the film was underway. Darshan was the male lead of the film. The developments in the case pertaining to Renukaswamy’s murder has put the producers under severe distress.

A minister was earlier reported to have visited the Minister of Home Affairs of Karnataka Dr G. Parameshwara at his residence and explained his predicament after the turn of events. A legislator from Bengaluru is also said to have been an investor in the project. 

Apart from these 2 political leaders, the son of a Minister is also believed to have provided money for the project. The leaders of two prominent political parties in the state of Karnataka find themselves stuck in this unfortunate circumstance. Reports indicate that if the project ends up being shelved, the leaders would be severely affected.
