Procuring bail in the case pertaining to the murder of Renukaswamy has proven to be a huge challenge for the Sandalwood actor Darshan also referred to as the Challenging Star. The police are expected to present a watertight case to the court. They have requested the court to deny bail to Darshan in their Remand Application. They have put forward strong arguments for this. 

Darshan has been named as accused number 2 in the case. The reasons the police have presented to deny bail are as follows. They have expressed that the suspects do not have respect for the law of the land. All the suspects are said to have played a part in the crime. The influence and money power of Darshan has been cited. An intent to murder has also been highlighted by the police. Physical and scientific evidence in this regard is reported to have been procured. Furthermore, an allegation of destruction of evidence is being made. The police claim to have proof of this. 3 of the accused apart from Darshan are said to have had criminal cases filed against them in the past.
