Police buy new sim cards in the names of suspects of Renukaswamy’s murder to retrieve data

The police investigating Sandalwood actor Darshan also referred to as the Challenging Star and 13 others in relation to the murder of Renukaswamy have now bought new SIM cards in their name. After having sought permission from the court, the sim cards have now been activated. 

The enquiry of the 14 suspects is currently underway. The investigation has uncovered that a web application was used by the suspects after Renukaswamy’s murder. The data is later reported to have been deleted. This has hindered the police’s investigation. The police are taking up the step of reactivation. 

As per instructions from the court, new sim cards have been purchased by the police. Permission was then sought to activate the sim. With the help of the service providers, this was achieved. Data and well call records were accessed as a result of this maneuver. Darshan has also talked about the cash found in his residence. The police would now be interrogating the person to whom the money was transferred.

Darshan will be lodged in the Parapanna Agrahara prison as part of his judicial custody which will extend until July 4th. The police appear to be confident in proving the charges against him.
