Sandalwood actor Darshan and 17 others have been arrested over suspicion of involvement in the murder of Renukaswamy. Reports indicate that Renukaswamy had sent obscene messages and photos to actress Pavithra Gowda. This led to a sequence of events that resulted in his murder.
Kannada TV actress Chitral Rangaswamy has now claimed that she too had received obscene messages from the account being claimed to have belonged to Renukaswamy. Chitral posted about this on her Instagram story. She shared a video and spoke about the interaction she had with that account in detail.

Chitral has also made an accusation on the Karnataka Police. Speaking to NewsFirst she said, “After I shared the video, many people got in touch with me and asked about the incident. Some people do not have the courage. I had filed complaints in the past. A First Information Report (FIR) was filed on March 13th at the Basaveshwara Nagar Police Station on March 13th. No action has been taken thus far. During the Covid-19 pandemic, more than 25 people filed complaints pertaining to such troll pages. That too was not taken up seriously. I have lost the belief that action will be taken even if I receive such messages now.”
