ABVP has demanded death sentence for Fayaz

ABVP alleges State Government has influence over CID

ABVP has taken issue with Siddaramaiah's statements

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has demanded a death sentence for Fayaz who is accused in the murder of Neha Hiremath on the promises of BVB Hubli. The incident had shocked the entire state of Karnataka when it made news. The ABVP has also demanded an enquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the case. The ABVP will be initiating a state-wide signature campaign for this cause. The campaign will take place on 28th April and 29th April.

The ABVP has alleged that the State Government has not dealt with the matter with the amount of seriousness it requires. They have also reasoned that the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) works under the directions of the Karnataka State Government. They have questioned the effectiveness of transferring the case to the CID under these circumstances. The ABVP is of the opinion that a CBI enquiry would be more independent in comparison.

The ABVP has taken issue with statements by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Home Minister Parameshwar that indicate that the murder took place due to a personal conflict. The ABVP has assumed that the love jihad angle to the case is pertinent. The organisation is of the opinion that the CBI is in a better position to uncover the conspiracy behind the act.
