Using AI saves a lot of time, attains more precision

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has changed the very way the world works today. Now, as per news reports, it is being used to target individuals and buildings in an endeavour to eliminate them.

The Israeli Army is now resorting to making use of Lavender, an AI-based tool to target as many as 37000 Hamas and Palestinian targets. At the same time, it has also used Gospel, another AI-based tool to identify buildings.

The need for AI

Reliance on humans to identify targets is time-consuming and delayed.

Though there is no information on how these AI-based tools are used to identify targets, it is learnt that Lavender zeroes in on the information about 2.5 million people living in Gaza strip. Interestingly, the tool also rates people’s proclivity towards terrorism.

Mass killings

Reports note that the usage of AI in the war has eliminated families. People live in fear as they don’t know when AI targets them and they come in the line of fire.

On the other hand, the entry of AI into wars only emphasises the precision with which it works. Military operations and technology evolution has only gotten better.
