Air India Express set to commence thrice-weekly direct flights
The airfares for flights from Bengaluru to Ayodhya have surged significantly, witnessing an almost fourfold increase, with prices soaring to Rs 30,000.
This spike in airfare is attributed to the upcoming consecration of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple on January 22, drawing a massive influx of visitors from Bengaluru. As a result, flights around the said date are heavily booked, and the weekend preceding the temple’s opening is anticipated to witness a considerable surge in visitors exploring the areas adjacent to the temple site.
For those looking to fly from Bengaluru to Ayodhya on January 20, the cost of the cheapest one-way ticket starts at Rs 24,000 and went up to Rs 30,000. Ticketing agencies reveal that airfares for the Bengaluru-Ayodhya route are particularly expensive on Saturday, January 20, followed by Friday, January 19, and Sunday, January 21, where prices commence at Rs 21,500 for January 19.
Despite the absence of direct flights between Bengaluru and Ayodhya currently, Air India Express is set to commence thrice-weekly direct flights from January 17, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
