All 22 crew members aboard the container ship involved in the collision with one of the columns of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore were of Indian nationality, according to reported statements from the ship’s management entity. Fortunately, they have been confirmed to be safe and secure following the incident.

Efforts are currently underway to conduct a search and rescue operation to ensure the safety of individuals who may have fallen into the river as a result of the bridge collapse in Baltimore. Thankfully, all crew members, including the two pilots, have been located, and there are no reports of any injuries among them. Additionally, there have been no reports of pollution stemming from the incident, as reportedly stated by the charter manager, Synergy Marine Group.

The collapse occurred during the early hours of Tuesday when a container ship collided with the four-lane span, causing cars to plunge into the river below. At the time of the incident, a construction crew consisting of eight individuals was repairing potholes on the bridge, and all eight members fell into the river.

As of now, two individuals have been successfully rescued, although local authorities have indicated that a substantial area still needs to be searched. Concerns remain for the safety of six individuals who are currently unaccounted for, prompting authorities to intensify search efforts.
