The web series ‘Paatal Lok’ hosted on Amazon Prime Video which was co-produced by Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma opened to rave reviews from both the audience and the critics. The endearing duo of Hathiram and Ansari are set to return to the OTT platform for a second season. An announcement in this regard was made on the Instagram handle of Amazon Prime Video (India). “Two seemingly disconnected cases get Hathiram and Ansari to work together again, sending them down the track of a nebulous conspiracy,’ the caption of the Instagram post mentioned.
The series is being produced by “Clean Slate Filmz.” Karnesh Ssharma who co-produced season 1 will also be the producer of the second season. Avinash Arun Dhaware who co-directed the first season will also be the director of this season. Sudip Sharma who was a co-writer of the first season will be the creator and co-writer of this season. Abhishek Banerjee, Tamal Sen, Rahul Kanojia will be the other co-writers. Jaideep Ahlawat, Ishwak Singh, Tillotama Shome, Jahnu Barua, Gul Panag, Nagesh Kukunoor, Anurag Arora form the part of the ensemble cast. Some of the actors were part of the first season but the addition of Tillotama Shome whose performance in Lust Stories 2 was commendable will add value to the series.
