Saira Banu’s lawyer, Vandana Shah, issued an official statement a day earlier on November 19, confirming the separation. The statement revealed that the decision was taken after enduring significant emotional strain and acknowledged the deep love the couple once shared. However, unresolved tensions and difficulties created an insurmountable gap, leading Saira to take this painful step. “Mrs Saira emphasised that she has taken this decision out of pain and agony,” the statement read, urging the public to respect their privacy as they navigate this challenging chapter.

The news has deeply moved fans, many of whom have expressed their support and empathy for the couple during this sensitive time. Rahman and Saira’s separation marks the end of nearly three decades of partnership.
