Recently, a resourceful passenger gained viral attention for attempting to fashion a makeshift seat using a basic bedsheet, yet the outcome of this inventive solution didn’t quite meet expectations.

A video circulating on X captures the man fastening the bedsheet’s corners to the upper rods of the berths, ingeniously creating a hammock above the bustling compartment floor. However, as he settles into his improvised seat, the knot unravels, causing him to stumble onto the floor.

Rapidly gaining popularity, the video has elicited diverse reactions. Some highlighted the increasing challenges of train travel, while others urged Indian Railways to address instances of passengers encroaching on space and causing discomfort for fellow travelers.

Instances of passengers resorting to ‘jugaad’ to fashion hammocks within train compartments are not unprecedented. In August of this year, a video depicting a man peacefully sleeping in a DIY hammock gained widespread attention.
