    Ram Mandir to open on January 22

    All judges who delivered historic verdict invited

    They had awarded disputed land to Hindus

All the five SC judges who decreed in favour of the construction of the Ram Mandir have been invited for the Ram Mandir inauguration on January 22. 

The judges are ex-chief justice Ranjan Gogoi, SA Bobde and current Chief Justice DY Chandrachud alongside Justices Ashok Bhushan and Abdul Nazeer. 

The judgement of 2019 

It was in 2019 that the five-judge bench of the top court, after hearing the matter, awarded that disputed land to Hindus, stressing that the faith of Hindus over the birth of Ram can’t be compromised. At the same time, the top court also awarded a piece of land measuring 5 acres for the Muslims to build a mosque. 

Modi to inaugurate Ram Mandir 

In what will be a historic occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Ram Mandir on Monday, January 22. As many as 8000 guests have been invited. On Friday, pictures of the idol of Ram Lalla were circulated all over. It is this idol for which the ritual of pran prathishta or invoking the life force of Lord Ram will be performed.
