Following a day of baking cookies, Monroe realized the absence of the diamond from her ring. Despite a thorough search of the kitchen, both Monroe and her husband were unable to locate the precious stone.
In an interview with KMBC 9, Monroe expressed her distress over the loss, stating, “I looked down at my hand, and the centre diamond is gone.” She believes it may have become embedded in the sugar, chocolate chip, or peanut butter cookies made that day.
Concerned for her customers’ safety, Monroe has cautioned them to bite into her cookies carefully. She has also taken to Facebook, offering a reward for the return of her beloved diamond.
Monroe’s heartbroken plea has garnered attention and empathy from the community, with many rallying to assist in the search for the missing gem.
