With plans to outfit its 17,000 civic workers with new attire, the corporation has engaged the Karnataka Handloom Corporation for the task of providing new uniform. Alongside the standard uniform, the BBMP is considering including additional accessories such as hats, aprons, and sweaters to its workforce.
In addressing the diverse needs of its employees, the BBMP is taking steps to cater to both male and female civic workers. Women’s uniforms are estimated at a cost of Rs. 4811 each, while the corresponding figure for male counterparts stands at Rs. 3578.
